This week we are going to show our appreciation for one of the greatest superstars in history, Bill Goldberg.

“Who's next?”

That was the question sports-entertainment fans were asking in 1998 as the explosive rookie known as Goldberg smashed his way through the World Championship Wrestling roster. From September 1997 until December 1998, the former Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle went undefeated, crushing icons like Big Show and Curt Hennig en route to earning an unprecedented record of 173-0. Armed with two signature maneuvers — The Spear and The Jackhammer — Goldberg displayed a devastating mix of raw power and unbridled intensity that made him unstoppable.

With fans chanting his name in arena across the country, “Da Man” ascended to the top of WCW in record time, defeating the iconic Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in front of more than 60,000 fans in the Georgia Dome within a year of his debut. Eventually, Goldberg’s legendary run came to an end at the hands of Kevin Nash — and a stun gun — but the competitor was not deterred for long. Throughout the remainder of his WCW career, he dominated a laundry list of hard hitters, including Bam Bam Bigelow, Sid Vicious and Scott Steiner.

After WCW was purchased by WWE in 2001, WWE fans eagerly awaited the arrival of the powerhouse, but it would be two long years before Goldberg entered a WWE ring. On March 31, 2003, the wrecking machine finally made his WWE debut, spearing The Rock on Raw. This confrontation led to a showdown between the two icons at Backlash with Goldberg buzz sawing through The Great One.

In the following months, the brute continued to dominate the competition, smashing Chris Jericho, Mark Henry and many others on a warpath to the top of WWE. To get there, however, Goldberg had to get through Triple H, which is no easy feat. The big man found this out at SummerSlam in the Elimination Chamber when The Game defeated him after a vicious sledgehammer shot.

Goldberg finally defeated The Cerebral Assassin for the World Heavyweight Championship one month later at Unforgiven before deciding to leave the ring for good. His last major bout occurred at WrestleMania XX where he defeated the intimidating Brock Lesnar in impressive fashion. This final match of the former World Heavyweight Champion's WWE career cemented his legacy as one of the most dominants individuals ever witnessed in sports-entertainment.

Two Things: Superstars who could destroy the Authority

Today on Two Things we are going to look at two superstars we believe can challenge The Authority and beat them.

Triple H will never say "He never loses" ever again when these two are finished with them.

The Rock

He’s been dubbed The Great One, The People’s Champion and The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment, but mere words fail to capture the essence of the most charismatic Superstar of all time. Although the catchphrase “boots to asses” comes awfully close.  

The first third-generation Superstar in WWE history, the man born Dwayne Johnson was destined for sports-entertainment immortality since birth, but his rise to the status of a pop culture icon was harder to predict. In the time since he made his debut as a grinning good guy at the 1996 Survivor Series,
The Brahma Bull has won seven WWE Championships, headlined WrestleMania, hosted “Saturday Night Live,” written a New York Times bestselling autobiography and starred in films like “Fast Five” and “The Game Plan,” which have grossed literally billions of dollars. And, the amazing thing is, he’s just getting started.

Son of WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, the University of Miami football standout showed promise early when he won the Intercontinental Championship within months of first setting foot in the ring. From there, The Rock’s momentum never slowed as he laid the smackdown on “Attitude Era” rivals like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Triple H while spouting off endless catchphrases that immediately became part of national conversation. With one eyebrow cocked, The People’s Champion would warn jabronis to “Know your role and shut your mouth” or “Just bring it!” before delivering his devastating finishing maneuver, The Rock Bottom, on the way to victory.

The 6-foot-5 competitor was soon fielding offers to star in films like “The Scorpion King” and “Gridiron Gang” thanks to the endless charisma and sex appeal he exuded in the squared circle. Now a Hollywood leading man, The Rock left WWE to pursue his acting career, only to successfully return to the ring against John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania XXVIII — and prove to WWE’s newest generation of fans that he truly is The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment.
Rock’s victory over the Cenation leader guaranteed him a WWE Championship opportunity at the 2013 Royal Rumble. The Great One took advantage of the opening and ended CM Punk’s historic 434-day reign in epic fashion. One month later, in a brutal rematch at Elimination Chamber, The Brahma Bull once again prevailed against the devious former champion. Now, the stage was set for an epic WrestleMania return bout against the Cenation leader.

In front of more than 80,000 WWE fans, The Rock took every opportunity to try and throw Cena off his hustle. The head games did not faze Cena this time, and The Rock fell victim to an Attitude Adjustment, with the WWE Title slipping from his grasp in the blink of an eye.
On April 6, 2014, The Great One returned at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans, where he joined “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan in the ring to kick off The Show of Shows for an epic WrestleMania moment.

At Royal Rumble 2015, after Roman Reigns eliminated Big Show and Kane, The Authority members attacked Reigns prompting The Rock to come to his aid. The Great One and Reigns cleared the ring. Although Reigns thought he was victorious, Rusev — who was never eliminated — attempted to win the match but Reigns secured the victory and celebrated the win with The People's Champ.

Most kids remember their first ball game or school play; Randy’s childhood memories include sitting in the kitchen of his family’s St. Louis home with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, and repairing a broken banister leaned on by Andre the Giant. He wasn’t even 5 years old when he watched his father knock out “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff in the main event at the inaugural WrestleMania.

When he arrived in WWE, Triple H and Ric Flair groomed him early on, welcoming him into their elite faction, Evolution. Under their tutelage, the 24-year-old Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion, although an envious Triple H, who coveted Orton’s championship, attacked his stablemate and jettisoned him from the faction.

The treachery was shocking, but also critical to Randy’s own evolution. In the years that followed, he not only perfected his “Legend Killing” RKO — a signature move named after his initials that has taken out the likes of The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan — but he formed dangerous alliances with Edge as half of Rated-RKO in 2004 and with The Legacy’s Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase.

More recently, The Viper has chosen to partner with internal voices stirred by Intermittent Explosive Disorder, a disease marked by extreme outbursts of rage, winning his tenth World Title at SummerSlam 2013 from Daniel Bryan with a shocking assist from special guest referee, WWE COO and longtime rival Triple H. In the months that followed, Orton battled Bryan to be the Champion of Champions and the Face of WWE, becomming the first-ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the process.

With continued help from The Authority, Orton was indeed the Face of WWE heading into WrestleMania 30, where he battled Batista and Bryan in a massive Triple Threat Match for his title. To the amazement of all, Bryan forced Batista to tap out to the "Yes!" Lock to capture the title on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

After temporarily reforming Evolution with Triple H and Batista to unsuccessfully battle The Shield at Extreme Rules and WWE Payback — incredible clashes between two of the most dominant factions in WWE history — Orton now looks to the future. 

After being put out of action for several months at the hands of Seth Rollins and The Authority, The Viper returned at WWE Fastlane, taking out J&J Security and Kane with huge RKOs! Orton hand Rollins in his hands and was on the verge of getting payback, until Big Show rescued him. Knowing The Apex Predator, he won't rest until he gets vengeance on Mr. Money in the Bank.

Whether it's viciously attacking his rivals or dropping other Superstars with RKOs out of nowhere, Orton will take out anyone in his way because his sights are set on proving he's the undisputed "Face of WWE," even if he doesn't have The Authority's support.

Brock lesnar and Paul Heyman on Raw?

With the fallout of Fastlane, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar are set to address Roman Reigns tonight on Raw.

With WWE Fastlane in the rearview mirror, all that stands between the WWE Superstars and WrestleMania is time. The Show of Shows is beginning to take shape. Roman Reigns emerged battered but victorious from his match with Daniel Bryan, and secured his WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match opportunity with Brock Lesnar. Triple H found himself staring down the barrel of The Vigilante, Sting’s legendary baseball bat, a challenge to WrestleMania laid out.

Those two bouts, while huge in their own right, are only just the beginning of what looks to be one of the biggest WrestleManias in history. How will the fallout from WWE Fastlane affect The Show of Shows on tonight’s edition of Raw?

Will Randy Orton get his hands on Seth Rollins?

Randy Orton shocked the WWE Universe when he returned Sunday night at WWE Fastlane. The Viper had not been seen since Seth Rollins viciously Curb Stomped him twice back in November. The seething Viper cut short a 5-on-3 beatdown of Dolph Ziggler, Ryback & Erick Rowan by taking out J&J Security and Kane with thunderous RKOs.

Orton had Rollins in his clutches, only for Big Show to pull Mr. Money in the Bank free. The self-proclaimed Future of WWE was last seen in a mad dash to escape Memphis’ FedExForum. If both men are in the building on Raw, will they come face-to-face?

How will John Cena bounce back from his loss to Rusev?

John Cena looked to be on the verge of capturing the United States Championship at WWE Fastlane, after the undefeated Rusev let go of the Accolade. However, a devious distraction from Lana opened the door for The Hero of the Russian Federation to hit Cena below the belt and lock on his spinebending submission. Cena passed out in the Accolade, allowing Rusev to remain unbeaten.

Cena looked physically and mentally beat down as WWE medical staff tended to him following the bout. The 15-time World Champion’s status is unknown at this point. With WrestleMania just weeks away, will Cena be able to get back on track and make an impact in Silicon Valley?

Is Roman Reigns ready for Brock Lesnar?

Roman Reigns erased all doubts at WWE Fastlane when he Speared his way to victory over Daniel Bryan. The Big Dog secured his spot in the main event of WrestleMania, where he will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Yet even though Reigns weathered Bryan’s onslaught of hard-hitting kicks and painful submission holds, he will be facing a very different monster in five weeks at The Show of Shows. Is The Big Dog ready for the biggest test of his young career?

How will Triple H's match with Sting affect The Authority?

The King of Kings got his wish — and more — on Sunday. Triple H came face to face with Sting and offered to do things the easy way and let his legacy endure, or take the hard way and face the wrath of The Cerebral Assassin. The Vigilante remained silent, drawing The Game into battle.

Triple H attacked Sting and drew his trademark sledgehammer out from under the ring. But when he slid back into the ring, WWE’s COO found the jet-black baseball bat that sent the feared New World Order running for the hills at his throat. The Vigilante backed Triple H into the corner, then aimed his bat at the WrestleMania sign looming over the squared circle. The Game accepted the challenge, warning Sting that this would be his funeral before trying to attack the franchise of WCW from behind. After being on the receiving end of a Scorpion Death Drop, Triple H had little choice but to accept the match.

After being embarrassed at the hands of Sting, what kind of mood will Triple H be in on Raw tonight? How will one of the biggest showdowns in sports-entertainment history affect the WWE COO and the rest of The Authority as WrestleMania draws closer?

Will The Undertaker respond to Bray Wyatt's Challenge?

For weeks, The Eater of Worlds has been sending strange missives to an unknown recipient. At WWE Fastlane, Bray Wyatt made his message much clearer, emerging from a casket and declaring that at WrestleMania 31, he will claim The Undertaker’s soul.

However, The Deadman has neither been seen or heard from since Brock Lesnar broke his legendary Streak at last year’s Show of Shows.  Wyatt has issued the challenge, but will The Phenom respond to it? Will The Undertaker stare into The New Face of Fear at Levi’s® Stadium on March 29?

The Viper has Returned

I personally don't believe Fastlane was exciting but it had its moments and one of those moments was after the Seth Rollins, Big Show & Kane had beaten Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan, there was a viper waiting in the wings to make an impact.

As The Authorities heavies attacked there three opponents after the match along with J&J security, we heard the voices and the return of Randy Orton was upon us.

Orton ran to the ring delivering RKO after RKO to the Authority. It is clear that his attention is focused on Seth Rollins.
