Superstar Appreciation Week

All this week we will be showing Appreciation for the legend that is Goldberg. We hope you can all enjoy his greatest moments with us here at Everything WWE.

During the Royal Rumble in 2004, Goldberg crossed paths with then-WWE Champion Brock Lesnar when the latter interrupted Goldberg during a backstage interview. While Goldberg was in the midst of dominating the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar interfered in the match and hit Goldberg with the F5.

With his attention turned toward Lesnar, Kurt Angle eliminated a distracted Goldberg from behind. Goldberg vowed revenge on Lesnar and after defeating Mark Henry and Jonathan Coachman in a No DQ match, he declared Brock Lesnar his next victim. On February 2, Goldberg was given a front row ticket to No Way Out by Steve Austin. Smackdown! General Manager Paul Heyman appeared on Raw and, along with Vince McMahon attempted to get Goldberg to back off in his vendetta against Brock Lesnar which resulted in Goldberg spearing Heyman and accidentally spearing Austin when he was aiming for McMahon. Goldberg attended No Way Out as a fan, confronting Lesnar at the event and, after several insults by Brock Lesnar, entered the ring and executed a Jackhammer on him.

Goldberg was then detained and escorted out of the arena by security guards. During the main event between Brock Lesnar and Eddie Guerrero, Goldberg reemerged from the crowd and cost Brock Lesnar the WWE Championship. This led to a match between the two being scheduled for WrestleMania XX with Austin serving as special guest referee. Fans knew this would be the final WWE match for both Goldberg and Brock Lesnar and thus gave largely negative reactions through the performance. Goldberg won the match and after it Lesnar showed Steve a middle finger and received a Stone Cold Stunner, Goldberg then celebrated his victory with Austin only to also receive a stunner.

Two Things: Opponents who could/would beat Rusev

On Two Things we are looking at two superstars past and present we believe would beat the undefeated Rusev. We have scanned the whole of the WWE past and present.

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle’s intensity was unmatched; his technical wrestling skills unparalleled. Possessing an unprecedented competitive streak that fueled him to become a 1996 Olympic gold medalist, Angle dominated the amateur ranks before emerging as one of the most successful WWE Superstars of all time.

Simply put, Kurt Angle was a Wrestling Machine.

Starting his athletic career as a football and wrestling star in his hometown of Pittsburgh, he soon became one of the top amateur wrestlers in the entire country, winning a pair of NCAA titles at Clarion University. But Angle truly captured national attention in 1996 when he won the 220-pound freestyle wrestling competition at the Olympic Games in Atlanta with a broken neck.

His raw athleticism earned him an opportunity to try out with the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers, but wrestling was The Olympic Hero’s true passion.

Four years after earning Olympic gold, Angle entered WWE and immediately became one of the most competitive individuals to set foot in the squared circle. Just weeks after his debut, Angle, who preached the virtues of his three I’s (Intensity, Integrity and Intelligence), won the European Championship.

Shortly thereafter, he captured the Intercontinental Championship and was crowned as King of the Ring in 2000. With momentum propelling the red, white and blue–clad grappler to new heights, he defeated The Rock at No Mercy to win his first WWE Championship.

A true testament to Angle’s passion and fortitude came in 2003. A mere week after being defeated by Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title at WrestleMania XIX, The Olympic Hero underwent a career-threatening neck surgery. Amazingly, Angle returned a short time later and in July 2003 at Vengeance — just 14 weeks after the operation — he made Lesnar tap out, reclaiming the WWE Title.

During his tenure in WWE, The Wrestling Machine tussled with the greatest Superstars of The Attitude Era, including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H and Big Show and even battled John Cena in the Cenation leader’s debut. But it’s the Olympic gold medalist’s WrestleMania 21 bout against Shawn Michaels that stands as not only Angle’s best match, but also maybe the best WWE match ever.

Angle left WWE in 2006, but his seven years in WWE certainly raised the level of competitiveness for the entire WWE roster and left the WWE Universe with memories of some of the greatest bouts of all time. Oh it’s true, it’s true.

Kurt Angle would certainly be a worthy opponent for Rusev and would bring the passion he has for the U.S with him.

Umaga

"The Samoan Bulldozer" was not just a clever moniker for Umaga — it was what he was. Perhaps no other Superstar in WWE lived up to his billing as completely as the 348 pounder.

Umaga came from a long line of Samoans with a rich history — and a brutal path of destruction. Immediately upon his debut, it was clear that The Samoan Bulldozer would make a lasting impact.  From the opening bell, he relentlessly attacked every Superstar that dared step in the ring with him, quickly earning him a reputation as one of the most vicious Superstars in the squared circle.

Umaga battled WWE's elite, from CM Punk to Ric Flair. His epic battles with Cena and Hardy over the WWE Championship and Intercontinental Title are modern-day WWE classics. And perhaps more than anyone, Umaga pushed Triple H to the limit. Many times The Game needed help walking back to the locker room after his battles with The Samoan Bulldozer.

Umaga was not a typical plodding big man, though. He was a super-heavyweight who was deceptively quick and could be as comfortable on the top rope as any cruiserweight. These traits, combined with his penchant for sadism, made Umaga very dangerous.

Though he remained an enigma to many observers in WWE, underneath that tattooed, monstrous exterior was a method to his madness. After all, he won the Intercontinental Championship and headlined WrestleMania 23 in the Battle of the Billionaires. Not bad for a wild Samoan.

Goldust wants his brother back and somehow someway he is determined to get Cody Rhodes to drop the Stardust persona.

Take at the video below and Follow Goldust as he prepares to battle Stardust at WWE Fastlane.

The Bushwhackers for Hall of Fame 2015

Arriving in America by way of New Zealand, the demented duo of Butch and cousin Luke were one of the wildest and most unorthodox teams the WWE Universe had ever seen.

Prior to their arrival in WWE, Luke & Butch were known as The Sheepherders, one of the most vicious tag teams to ever step in the squared circle. Proudly bearing the flag of New Zealand, The Sheepherders stormed into North America in the 1960s, making a name for themselves with brutal brawls in Hawaii, Portland and Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling.

Luke & Butch continued brawling across America throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s, capturing championships in various National Wrestling Alliance territories and Bill Watts’ Universal Wrestling Federation. Their penchant for ruthless battles made their sudden change in demeanor upon their WWE debut in 1988 very surprising to longtime fans.

Toothless and tattooed, the fun-loving Bushwhackers stomped to the ring in camouflage pants and combat boots, swinging their arms above their heads and licking the faces of any fans they could get their hands on. While this type of mad behavior endeared the cousins to the WWE Universe, it made the tough guys a despised pair for rivals like The Powers of Pain and The Bolsheviks.

This untamed outback savagery helped the Kiwis pick up some impressive wins in 1989, including a victory over The Fabulous Rougeaus at WrestleMania V in Atlantic City, N.J. This would not be the last time The Bushwhackers battered the French-Canadian brothers — the two teams met again at Royal Rumble in 1990 with Luke and Butch getting the win again.

In the years that followed, The Bushwhackers clashed with bigger teams like The Natural Disasters and The Nasty Boys. Though they didn’t always come out victorious, their popularity never waned.

In fact, the duo was so well-liked that they made an appearance on the hit television show “Family Matters” in 1994, where they stepped into the ring with Steve Urkel.

In 1996, The Bushwhackers had their final full-time stint in WWE. Though they were never able to capture the World Tag Team Championship, Butch & Luke made a lasting impression on the WWE Universe and were greeted with a great reception when they made a surprise return to the ring in the Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania X-Seven.

Now, The Bushwhackers will take their place in sports-entertainment history, as Luke & Butch have been announced as members of the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2015.

In depth look at the man called Sting

Often dubbed “The Franchise of WCW,” the man called Sting is one of the most recognizable and unique faces in sports-entertainment history. It was that distinction that made him the backbone of the Atlanta-based organization throughout the late 1980s until the end of WCW in 2001.

Beginning with his NWA debut in 1987, Sting brought an enormous amount of charisma to the ring with his bleach-blond hair, colorful face paint and neon ring gear. However, at the inaugural Clash of the Champions, a 45-minute time limit draw against NWA World Champion Ric Flair proved The Stinger was on his way to becoming one of sports-entertainment’s elite. Eventually, Sting defeated Flair for the NWA Title, and would later add six WCW World Titles, three WCW Tag Team Championships, two WCW International World Titles and two United States Championships to his resume throughout his career.

While the charismatic competitor was wildly popular with WCW fans, it was a shocking transformation in 1996 that made Sting even more memorable. With The New World Order imposing their will over WCW, The Stinger adopted a darker personality with white and black face paint and attire. He became a silent warrior who lurked in the rafters of arenas all over the country, ready to strike The nWo at a moment’s notice. For more than a year, Sting never spoke or competed in the ring, captivating audiences until finally he squared off and defeated WCW Champion and nWo leader, “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan.

Sting escalated his efforts against The nWo by joining longtime friend Lex Luger as part of The nWo Wolfpac, changing his white visage to red. However, when The nWo began to disband for good, Sting retained his dark look, but adopted an attitude more in line with his flashy "surfer" days.

As WCW’s days became numbered, Sting remained loyal to the organization, engaging in memorable rivalries with Bret “Hit Man” Hart and Vampiro. Fittingly, Sting and Ric Flair squared off in the final match on the last episode of WCW Monday Nitro.

Remembered for his colorful charisma and struggle with The nWo, Sting has become synonymous with the Atlanta-based organization. Although he has never competed in a WWE ring, more than a decade since the demise of WCW, he remains one of the most popular and respected competitors of all-time.

At Survivor Series 2014, The Authority was pulling out all the stops to prevent Dolph Ziggler from defeating Seth Rollins in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match. When it appeared that Rollins would secure the victory for Team Authority and ensure they remain in power, Sting appeared and confronted Triple H.

Following a tense staredown, The Game attacked The Stinger, who countered by executing his patented Scorpion Death Drop. Sting then pulled Ziggler on top of Rollins, giving Team Cena the win and dethroning The Authority.

As 2014 ended, John Cena was forced to bring The Authority back to power. One of their first orders of business was to fired Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback for aiding Cena at Survivor Series.

One week before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Cena battled Kane, Seth Rollins and Big Show in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match in an effort to save his allies' jobs. Although the odds were stacked against the Cenation leader, Sting returned – making his WWE Raw debut – distracting Rollins and allowing Cena to capture a pinfall victory.

Fed up with Sting's interference, Triple H called out The Stinger for a face-to-face confrontation at WWE Fastlane. Using mind games of his own to frighten The Cerebral Assassin with a number of dopplegangers, WCW's face-painted franchise accepted The Game's offer.

At WWE Fastlane, Triple H attacked Sting, but The Vigilante evened the odds with his legendary baseball bat. Pointing to the WrestleMania sign hanging above the ring, Sting challenged The Game to a battle on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
A
t WrestleMania, not only will Sting battle Triple H in a veritable dream match, but the icon of WCW will compete inside a WWE ring for the first time ever.

What does this mean for the future of Sting? As he says, "the only thing sure about Sting is that nothing is for sure."

Raw Results February 23 2015

The Authority Confront Randy Orton
All jokes aside, Randy Orton’s unexpected return at WWE Fastlane really was — ahem — outta nowhere. But the surprise of seeing Orton back in action and RKO’ing anyone whose name began with a “J” had nothing on Stephanie McMahon’s reaction to the return of the Superstar she ordered to be destroyed the last time he showed his face. She welcomed him right back.

Incredulous as it sounds, McMahon — flanked by Kane, Big Show and Triple H — was more than willing to allow the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion to rejoin The Authority and take his place as The Face of WWE once more. Even more incredulous was Orton’s eventual reaction to the offer: a tentative, if somewhat sinister-sounding, commitment to attend a backstage "business conference" to formally cement his re-induction via a tag-team bout against Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns, with Seth Rollins as his partner.

Dolph Ziggler def. Bad News Barrett

The good news, more or less, for Bad News Barrett is that he’s still technically the Intercontinental Champion. That’s a silver lining that’s hard to catch, though, since Dean Ambrose absconded with the Brit’s title after being disqualified out of his questionably legal challenge at WWE Fastlane. Being filched left Barrett with a less than sunny disposition, one that didn’t exactly endear longtime foe Dolph Ziggler to him during a non-title match on Raw.

With R-Truth on commentary to demand the WWE Universe #GiveTruthAChance for a title opportunity off his win on SmackDown, Barrett dismantled The Showoff with clubbing blows from his fists and feet in equal measure. A reversal of Wasteland into a DDT gave Ziggler some space, and Barrett was right there to catch him with the Winds of Change off a ping-ponging sprint between the tables. Barrett was unable to connect with the Bull Hammer elbow, however, as Ziggler rammed him into the turnbuckle and pounced with the Zig Zag for the win. Ambrose materialized moments later with the Intercontinental Title in hand and trash talk spewing from his mouth. Barrett, of course, was in no position to throw down with “The Lunatic Champion.” Ziggler, however, seemed interested …

The Prime Time Players def. The Ascension

The Ascension’s run through WWE’s tag team division ended up being cut short long before it reached the highs of their NXT streak, all thanks to the freshly reformed Prime Time Players. Anyone in the WWE Universe who questioned whether Darren Young & Titus O’Neil could truly let bygones be bygones got their answer in emphatic fashion on Raw. The Big Deal provided the saving grace for Young, who had been smothered from the get-go by Konnor & Viktor’s offense and was about a second from getting pinned before O’Neil put the boots to Viktor. Mr. No Days Off sprang with a rollup after a brief fracas to get the pin, but millions of dollars brought millions of problems, as the big men jumped O’Neil and obliterated Young with the Fall of Man. A win is a win?

Paul Heyman Confronted Roman Reigns

Well here we are again. And this time, there’s no studio and snowstorm to enforce any kind of civility from Roman Reigns, who — after a final concession to The Big Dog from a wistful Daniel Bryan — finally stepped into a WWE ring as the honest-to-goodness No. 1 contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Paul Heyman was right there to meet him, spouting rhetoric and visibly relieved to be rid of Bryan, talking up the potential of Reigns and predicting his ultimate downfall at the hands of Brock Lesnar. Despite Heyman's bravado, Reigns’ eagerness to throw down with The Beast Incarnate either forecasts a bright future for the No. 1 contender … or the ultimate downfall of a Superstar who doesn’t understand what he’s gotten himself into. Thirty-four days until the answer is revealed.

The Usos def. Tyson Kidd & Cesaro via DQ

Among the more unexpected facts that dropped at Fastlane was the coronation of Cesaro & Tyson Kidd as Tag Team Champions, a development that seemed as likely as cats and dogs living together when they started teaming on a whim only two months ago. But there they were as champs one day later, defending their titles against The Usos, who didn’t waste any time evoking their rematch clause or putting “The Professionals” against the ropes in pursuit of their third run with the twin titles.

Even Cesaro & Kidd’s signature, on-the-fly tandem maneuvers weren’t enough to slow The Usos down. It took some chicanery from Natalya, of all people, to get the job done when she tripped Jimmy Uso off the top rope following an altercation between her and Naomi that landed Kidd in the crosshairs of a top-rope splash. The Queen of Harts’ interference stopped the match at a disqualification, ensuring The Usos won but the titles remained in the land of cats, facts and Kings of Swing.

Jack Swagger def. Stardust

We, the people, may not be setting foot on Mars anytime soon. But give Jack Swagger credit for the biggest step for mankind since Neil Armstrong after his upset defeat of Stardust, who’s all but gone supernova in the wake of his controversial loss to brother Goldust at Fastlane. Torn between the specter of his former self, Cody Rhodes, and the space-creature he has transformed into, Stardust took out his aggression on The Real American, whose defense of Dusty Rhodes on Twitter landed him in this bout in the first place. Stardust made sure Swagger regretted it, but Goldust was there to apply a little smoke and mirrors to distract baby brother with a sudden appearance. Swagger sprang into action with the Patriot Lock to notch a quick tapout, but it seems the stars of the Rhodes family have not quite aligned yet.

Bray Wyatt is ready to finish off The Undertaker

John Cena challenged Rusev to a rematch at Wrestlemania

Call it a technicality if you must, but the record books don’t lie: John Cena submitted to Rusev at WWE Fastlane. Granted, there were some events that led to him being locked in the Accolade into unconsciousness that weren’t exactly on the up-and-up, which is why a dumbfounded Cena is officially on his road to redemption. The first stop? A potential rematch with The Super Athlete for the U.S. Title at WrestleMania. Only Rusev wasn’t exactly jumping at the chance to face the Cenation leader again. Instead, he settled for kicking the 15-time World Champion while he was down, rubbing the loss in his face, rejecting his challenge and posing from the stage as the Russian flag descended over Cena’s head. Hey, no one ever said The Road to WrestleMania always got off to an easy start.

The Bella Twins def. Emma & Paige

The Bella Twins’ admiration for the NXT women’s division apparently does not extend to taking it easy against two of its most prestigious alumnae: Paige & Emma. The duo, who battled for the NXT Women’s Championship at the very first ArRIVAL pay-per-view, couldn’t get the job done when they combined their strength against the main roster’s resident mean girls. There wasn’t even a match to speak of, really. Brie knocked Paige off the apron and pinned Emma with a facebuster. When Paige stormed the ring for payback, she was dealt with quickly. Better luck next time.

Ryback def. Curtis Axel

Ryback & Curtis Axel dissolved their partnership as RybAxel on ostensibly friendly terms, yet The Big Guy showed his old buddy no quarter in a friendly yet firm decimation of “The Ax Man” on Raw. They squared off moments after the two bros declared they would join The Miz in the second annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Despite a smothering opening attack from Axel, Ryback’s quick one-two of the Meathook Clothesline and Shell Shocked got the road to #AxelMania off to a rough start.

Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns def. Seth Rollins & Randy Orton

Anyone expecting another explosion of physicality between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns on Raw can settle down. The two most volatile elements in WWE remained at rest 24 hours after they blew the roof off WWE Fastlane, instead focusing their collective energy on the returning Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.

All in all, the bout was a tale of two teams, one that buried their hatchet and another that maybe, juuust maybe had not. When Rollins (with Kane & Big Show on the outside, supporting Rollins before their Fastlane rematch against Dolph Ziggler, Ryback & Erick Rowan on SmackDown) tagged himself in during Orton’s decimation of Reigns, the former World Champion threw a fit and stormed off. Yet when Bryan tagged himself in after Reigns laid Rollins out with the Superman Punch, the 2014 Superstar of the Year happily ceded the floor while The Beard annihilated Rollins with the Running Knee. Teamwork makes the dream work, but it seemed as though Rollins was headed for a waking nightmare when he found himself in the sights of The Viper’s punt. Instead of kicking Rollins into next week, however, The Viper offered a rough, if seemingly genuine, pat on the arm. Probably best Rollins takes that with a grain of salt, though: Orton’s mood can famously change, well, outta nowhere.

Superstar Appreciation Week

This week we are going to show our appreciation for one of the greatest superstars in history, Bill Goldberg.

Goldberg

“Who's next?”

That was the question sports-entertainment fans were asking in 1998 as the explosive rookie known as Goldberg smashed his way through the World Championship Wrestling roster. From September 1997 until December 1998, the former Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle went undefeated, crushing icons like Big Show and Curt Hennig en route to earning an unprecedented record of 173-0. Armed with two signature maneuvers — The Spear and The Jackhammer — Goldberg displayed a devastating mix of raw power and unbridled intensity that made him unstoppable.

With fans chanting his name in arena across the country, “Da Man” ascended to the top of WCW in record time, defeating the iconic Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in front of more than 60,000 fans in the Georgia Dome within a year of his debut. Eventually, Goldberg’s legendary run came to an end at the hands of Kevin Nash — and a stun gun — but the competitor was not deterred for long. Throughout the remainder of his WCW career, he dominated a laundry list of hard hitters, including Bam Bam Bigelow, Sid Vicious and Scott Steiner.

After WCW was purchased by WWE in 2001, WWE fans eagerly awaited the arrival of the powerhouse, but it would be two long years before Goldberg entered a WWE ring. On March 31, 2003, the wrecking machine finally made his WWE debut, spearing The Rock on Raw. This confrontation led to a showdown between the two icons at Backlash with Goldberg buzz sawing through The Great One.

In the following months, the brute continued to dominate the competition, smashing Chris Jericho, Mark Henry and many others on a warpath to the top of WWE. To get there, however, Goldberg had to get through Triple H, which is no easy feat. The big man found this out at SummerSlam in the Elimination Chamber when The Game defeated him after a vicious sledgehammer shot.

Goldberg finally defeated The Cerebral Assassin for the World Heavyweight Championship one month later at Unforgiven before deciding to leave the ring for good. His last major bout occurred at WrestleMania XX where he defeated the intimidating Brock Lesnar in impressive fashion. This final match of the former World Heavyweight Champion's WWE career cemented his legacy as one of the most dominants individuals ever witnessed in sports-entertainment.

5 Men who could team up against The Authority

At Survivor Series Team Cena beat Team Authority with a little help from The Vigilante Sting. Right now we are going to recommend a team of 5 who could beat The Authority and make sure they will never step foot in a WWE ring again.

The Rock

Brock Lesnar

John Cena

Randy Orton

Roman Reigns

Two Things: Superstars who could destroy the Authority

Today on Two Things we are going to look at two superstars we believe can challenge The Authority and beat them.

Triple H will never say "He never loses" ever again when these two are finished with them.

The Rock

He’s been dubbed The Great One, The People’s Champion and The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment, but mere words fail to capture the essence of the most charismatic Superstar of all time. Although the catchphrase “boots to asses” comes awfully close.

The first third-generation Superstar in WWE history, the man born Dwayne Johnson was destined for sports-entertainment immortality since birth, but his rise to the status of a pop culture icon was harder to predict. In the time since he made his debut as a grinning good guy at the 1996 Survivor Series,
The Brahma Bull has won seven WWE Championships, headlined WrestleMania, hosted “Saturday Night Live,” written a New York Times bestselling autobiography and starred in films like “Fast Five” and “The Game Plan,” which have grossed literally billions of dollars. And, the amazing thing is, he’s just getting started.

Son of WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, the University of Miami football standout showed promise early when he won the Intercontinental Championship within months of first setting foot in the ring. From there, The Rock’s momentum never slowed as he laid the smackdown on “Attitude Era” rivals like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Triple H while spouting off endless catchphrases that immediately became part of national conversation. With one eyebrow cocked, The People’s Champion would warn jabronis to “Know your role and shut your mouth” or “Just bring it!” before delivering his devastating finishing maneuver, The Rock Bottom, on the way to victory.

The 6-foot-5 competitor was soon fielding offers to star in films like “The Scorpion King” and “Gridiron Gang” thanks to the endless charisma and sex appeal he exuded in the squared circle. Now a Hollywood leading man, The Rock left WWE to pursue his acting career, only to successfully return to the ring against John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania XXVIII — and prove to WWE’s newest generation of fans that he truly is The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment.
Rock’s victory over the Cenation leader guaranteed him a WWE Championship opportunity at the 2013 Royal Rumble. The Great One took advantage of the opening and ended CM Punk’s historic 434-day reign in epic fashion. One month later, in a brutal rematch at Elimination Chamber, The Brahma Bull once again prevailed against the devious former champion. Now, the stage was set for an epic WrestleMania return bout against the Cenation leader.

In front of more than 80,000 WWE fans, The Rock took every opportunity to try and throw Cena off his hustle. The head games did not faze Cena this time, and The Rock fell victim to an Attitude Adjustment, with the WWE Title slipping from his grasp in the blink of an eye.
On April 6, 2014, The Great One returned at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans, where he joined “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan in the ring to kick off The Show of Shows for an epic WrestleMania moment.

At Royal Rumble 2015, after Roman Reigns eliminated Big Show and Kane, The Authority members attacked Reigns prompting The Rock to come to his aid. The Great One and Reigns cleared the ring. Although Reigns thought he was victorious, Rusev — who was never eliminated — attempted to win the match but Reigns secured the victory and celebrated the win with The People's Champ.

Randy Orton

Randy Orton was born a WWE Superstar.

From the moment he was hatched, The Viper walked among the ring’s most revered figures, even calling one of them “dad.” His father is WWE Hall of Famer “Cowboy” Bob Orton, his uncle Barry “Barry O” Orton and his grandfather, the late “The Big O,” Bob Orton Sr., all among the most fierce and rugged grapplers of their generations.

Most kids remember their first ball game or school play; Randy’s childhood memories include sitting in the kitchen of his family’s St. Louis home with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, and repairing a broken banister leaned on by Andre the Giant. He wasn’t even 5 years old when he watched his father knock out “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff in the main event at the inaugural WrestleMania.

When he arrived in WWE, Triple H and Ric Flair groomed him early on, welcoming him into their elite faction, Evolution. Under their tutelage, the 24-year-old Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion, although an envious Triple H, who coveted Orton’s championship, attacked his stablemate and jettisoned him from the faction.

The treachery was shocking, but also critical to Randy’s own evolution. In the years that followed, he not only perfected his “Legend Killing” RKO — a signature move named after his initials that has taken out the likes of The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan — but he formed dangerous alliances with Edge as half of Rated-RKO in 2004 and with The Legacy’s Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase.

More recently, The Viper has chosen to partner with internal voices stirred by Intermittent Explosive Disorder, a disease marked by extreme outbursts of rage, winning his tenth World Title at SummerSlam 2013 from Daniel Bryan with a shocking assist from special guest referee, WWE COO and longtime rival Triple H. In the months that followed, Orton battled Bryan to be the Champion of Champions and the Face of WWE, becomming the first-ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the process.

With continued help from The Authority, Orton was indeed the Face of WWE heading into WrestleMania 30, where he battled Batista and Bryan in a massive Triple Threat Match for his title. To the amazement of all, Bryan forced Batista to tap out to the "Yes!" Lock to capture the title on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

After temporarily reforming Evolution with Triple H and Batista to unsuccessfully battle The Shield at Extreme Rules and WWE Payback — incredible clashes between two of the most dominant factions in WWE history — Orton now looks to the future.

After being put out of action for several months at the hands of Seth Rollins and The Authority, The Viper returned at WWE Fastlane, taking out J&J Security and Kane with huge RKOs! Orton hand Rollins in his hands and was on the verge of getting payback, until Big Show rescued him. Knowing The Apex Predator, he won't rest until he gets vengeance on Mr. Money in the Bank.

Whether it's viciously attacking his rivals or dropping other Superstars with RKOs out of nowhere, Orton will take out anyone in his way because his sights are set on proving he's the undisputed "Face of WWE," even if he doesn't have The Authority's support.

Brock lesnar and Paul Heyman on Raw?

With the fallout of Fastlane, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar are set to address Roman Reigns tonight on Raw.

After the Pay Per View last night, Paul Heyman tweeted the following:

Raw Preview

With WWE Fastlane in the rearview mirror, all that stands between the WWE Superstars and WrestleMania is time. The Show of Shows is beginning to take shape. Roman Reigns emerged battered but victorious from his match with Daniel Bryan, and secured his WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match opportunity with Brock Lesnar. Triple H found himself staring down the barrel of The Vigilante, Sting’s legendary baseball bat, a challenge to WrestleMania laid out.

Those two bouts, while huge in their own right, are only just the beginning of what looks to be one of the biggest WrestleManias in history. How will the fallout from WWE Fastlane affect The Show of Shows on tonight’s edition of Raw?

Will Randy Orton get his hands on Seth Rollins?

Randy Orton shocked the WWE Universe when he returned Sunday night at WWE Fastlane. The Viper had not been seen since Seth Rollins viciously Curb Stomped him twice back in November. The seething Viper cut short a 5-on-3 beatdown of Dolph Ziggler, Ryback & Erick Rowan by taking out J&J Security and Kane with thunderous RKOs.

Orton had Rollins in his clutches, only for Big Show to pull Mr. Money in the Bank free. The self-proclaimed Future of WWE was last seen in a mad dash to escape Memphis’ FedExForum. If both men are in the building on Raw, will they come face-to-face?

How will John Cena bounce back from his loss to Rusev?

John Cena looked to be on the verge of capturing the United States Championship at WWE Fastlane, after the undefeated Rusev let go of the Accolade. However, a devious distraction from Lana opened the door for The Hero of the Russian Federation to hit Cena below the belt and lock on his spinebending submission. Cena passed out in the Accolade, allowing Rusev to remain unbeaten.

Cena looked physically and mentally beat down as WWE medical staff tended to him following the bout. The 15-time World Champion’s status is unknown at this point. With WrestleMania just weeks away, will Cena be able to get back on track and make an impact in Silicon Valley?

Is Roman Reigns ready for Brock Lesnar?

Roman Reigns erased all doubts at WWE Fastlane when he Speared his way to victory over Daniel Bryan. The Big Dog secured his spot in the main event of WrestleMania, where he will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Yet even though Reigns weathered Bryan’s onslaught of hard-hitting kicks and painful submission holds, he will be facing a very different monster in five weeks at The Show of Shows. Is The Big Dog ready for the biggest test of his young career?

How will Triple H's match with Sting affect The Authority?

The King of Kings got his wish — and more — on Sunday. Triple H came face to face with Sting and offered to do things the easy way and let his legacy endure, or take the hard way and face the wrath of The Cerebral Assassin. The Vigilante remained silent, drawing The Game into battle.

Triple H attacked Sting and drew his trademark sledgehammer out from under the ring. But when he slid back into the ring, WWE’s COO found the jet-black baseball bat that sent the feared New World Order running for the hills at his throat. The Vigilante backed Triple H into the corner, then aimed his bat at the WrestleMania sign looming over the squared circle. The Game accepted the challenge, warning Sting that this would be his funeral before trying to attack the franchise of WCW from behind. After being on the receiving end of a Scorpion Death Drop, Triple H had little choice but to accept the match.

After being embarrassed at the hands of Sting, what kind of mood will Triple H be in on Raw tonight? How will one of the biggest showdowns in sports-entertainment history affect the WWE COO and the rest of The Authority as WrestleMania draws closer?

Will The Undertaker respond to Bray Wyatt's Challenge?

For weeks, The Eater of Worlds has been sending strange missives to an unknown recipient. At WWE Fastlane, Bray Wyatt made his message much clearer, emerging from a casket and declaring that at WrestleMania 31, he will claim The Undertaker’s soul.

However, The Deadman has neither been seen or heard from since Brock Lesnar broke his legendary Streak at last year’s Show of Shows.  Wyatt has issued the challenge, but will The Phenom respond to it? Will The Undertaker stare into The New Face of Fear at Levi’s® Stadium on March 29?

You can watch Raw Live tonight on Sky Sports at 1am.

The Viper has Returned

I personally don't believe Fastlane was exciting but it had its moments and one of those moments was after the Seth Rollins, Big Show & Kane had beaten Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan, there was a viper waiting in the wings to make an impact.

As The Authorities heavies attacked there three opponents after the match along with J&J security, we heard the voices and the return of Randy Orton was upon us.

Orton ran to the ring delivering RKO after RKO to the Authority. It is clear that his attention is focused on Seth Rollins.

What will happen tonight on Raw? Tune in to find out at 1am on Sky Sports.

Fantasy Factions

There are many things we have never got to see in the WWE but in the words on WWE COO Triple H "Never Say Never".

WWE have had many great factions, from the WCW's legendary NWO to the dominant group we knew as The Shield, but we have decided to create a faction that we think would be unstoppable in the WWE.

We call this faction: New Age Ministry

It will include 6 members:

The Undertaker

Kane

Bray Wyatt

Raven

Erick Rowan

Sting

Superstar Appreciation Week

In 1996, Edge initially made $210 per week while working for WWE without an official contract. The company also paid for his outstanding college debt, which was around $40,000. Copeland received a developmental contract with the WWF in 1997.  On Remembrance Day 1997 in Cornwall, Ontario, he (under his real name) faced Christian Cage at a Shotgun taping,  a match included on WWE Home Video's 2008 retrospective, Edge: A Decade of Decadence. Upon completing his training, Copeland made his WWF television debut on the June 22, 1998 episode of Raw is War as Edge, a loner character who entered the arena through the crowd for his matches. This had been preceded by weeks of vignettes for the character, which included him aimlessly walking around the city streets and assaulting innocent pedestrians.

Edge's first televised match was against Jose Estrada, Jr., which ended prematurely by countout when Edge performed a somersault senton from the ring to the outside, legitimately injuring Estrada's neck. In his first pay-per-view match at SummerSlam in August, he served as Sable's mystery tag team partner against Jacqueline and Marc Mero, and bodyslammed Sable onto Mero in a pinning position to pick up the win. At Breakdown: In Your House, Edge faced Owen Hart in a losing effort, on October 11 1998, an edition of Sunday Night Heat, Edge defeated Vader in singles competition and at WWF Capital Carnage, Edge faced Tiger Ali Singh in a losing effort.

Edge was then placed in a feud against the vampire wrestler Gangrel. During the feud, Gangrel introduced Christian Cage (now going by just "Christian"), Edge's storyline brother, as his ally. Eventually, Gangrel and Christian convinced Edge to join them, and the three of them formed an alliance known as The Brood at Rock Bottom: In Your House, The Brood defeated The J.O.B. Squad in a six-man tag team match. At the Royal Rumble, Edge competed in the 30-man Royal Rumble match and was eliminated by Road Dogg. The Brood was later abducted and converted into The Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness. In May 1999, the Brood broke away from the Ministry after Christian was attacked by Ken Shamrock and forced to reveal the location of the captive Stephanie McMahon. The Undertaker chose to have Christian punished for his trespass, but Edge and Gangrel stood by him and betrayed The Undertaker, leading to a brief feud with the Ministry. At Backlash: In Your House, the Brood faced Ministry members Bradshaw, Faarooq, and Mideon in a losing effort. At King of the Ring, The Hardy Boyz defeated Edge and Christian in a match to determine the number one contender to the WWF Tag Team Championship, after their first match on Sunday Night Heat ended in a no-contest.

NXT Tonight

This day last week we were all getting ready for what we knew was going to be a great event in NXT TakeOver Rival but we didn't expect it to be as great as it was.

Check out all the fallout from Takeover tonight on the WWE Network at 1am.

Two Things: Weirdest Gimmicks

Today on Two Things we are looking at two weird gimmicks the WWE have come up with. Over the years WWE have come up with some odd jobs from a Fitness Instructor to a Garbage Man.

In WWE right now the man who was The Devils Favourite Demon is now wearing a suit and is Director of Operations for The Authority, A dark character in Bray Wyatt is sending the universe messages every week on both Raw and Smackdown and Cody Rhodes has turned in to Stardust and now all he can focus on his galactic facts.

But we have scanned the entire WWE Alumni and have come up with two gimmicks we think were weird.

Doink

Once the circus music started, WWE fans instantly knew that Doink the Clown was on his way to the ring.

When Doink first burst upon the WWE scene, his jokes were more malicious. He would squirt children with trick flowers and delight in making little tykes cry. The evil clown astonished WWE viewers by attacking opponents with prosthetic clown limbs. The gleam in his eyes and his grin could not hide the twisted monster that lurked behind the clown makeup and costume.

And Doink showed that he was no joke in the ring. He displayed an in-ring acumen that surprised his opponents. Doink loved to torture early rivals Randy Savage, Bret Hart and especially Crush. In many ways, Crush was never the same after his WrestleMania IX encounter, when he was attacked by not one, but two Doinks!

After earning the wrath of a wicked Jerry Lawler following his inability to defeat The "Hit Man," Doink showed a kinder, gentler side. He started taking delight in making children smile. With a miniature version of himself named Dink by his side, Doink targeted some of WWE's most notorious villains. In the years that followed, the duo provided some of WWE's most memorable moments.

Who could forget Doink and Dink (along with Wink and Pink) taking on Lawler and his team of miniature kings — Queazy, Cheezy and Sleazy — at Survivor Series in 1994? Or the jesters battling Bam Bam Bigelow & Luna Vachon at WrestleMania X?

The joker still occasionally tumbles into WWE rings. He competed at WrestleMania X-Seven in a Gimmick Battle Royal and teamed with Kane and Eugene against Umaga, Viscera & Kevin Thorn in perhaps the weirdest tag match in WWE history.

Papa Shango

In 1992, the haunting voodoo practitioner known as Papa Shango made his shocking debut in WWE.

Stalking down the aisle with a smoking skull in his hands, the bizarre Superstar's horrifying appearance — complete with morbid skeletal face paint and a necklace made from bones — struck fear in his opponents before he even stepped into the ring. Once the bell rang, Shango was even more fearsome, using his 330-pound frame to completely destroy everything in his path.

Although his tenure in WWE was a short one, the witch doctor made a major impact at WrestleMania VIII when he interfered in the main event between Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice, resulting in a disqualification. Shango would keep a high profile due to his rivalry with The Ultimate Warrior in the spring of 1992. Using black magic to intimidate the Warrior, Shango infamously caused a strange, dark liquid to ooze from the former WWE Champion's head during a memorably twisted interview segment with Mean Gene Okerlund.

The shocking incident would become Papa Shango's most memorable moment in WWE and earned the magic man his place amongst the scariest Superstars of all time.

Who is Bray Wyatt talking to?

For several weeks now, Bray Wyatt seems to have been focusing a series of cryptic messages on someone specifically. But just who is the figure in question?

Wyatt’s dark diatribes have spoken of not fearing, but pitying this person. He talks of the “tragedy” that has befallen him. He talks of himself being the Reaper and of being the answer. But no matter how colorful his presentation may be, Wyatt has not yet revealed who the actual target of his rage might be.

Could Wyatt simply be taunting one of the many enemies that he has made since stepping into the squared circle? Might he be speaking to John Cena, who’s never-give-up attitude “will not die”? Dean Ambrose? Kane? Certainly the all-out wars that he has had with these larger-than-life competitors would still be festering inside his brain. Moreover, he may be speaking of unfinished business with the likes of former disciple Erick Rowan, who Wyatt most recently clashed with in the Royal Rumble Match and who has definitely been stuck in a state of “limbo” since returning to WWE following the “tragedy” of being fired by The Authority.

There is another intriguing possibility, though: one that has all of us at WWE.com champing at the bit. What if The New Face of Fear were actually calling out The Undertaker? After all, The Demon of Death Valley does tend to re-emerge on The Road to WrestleMania, and Bray Wyatt is just the kind of darkness that would pique The Phenom’s interest. It only stands to reason that the two ominous figures would speak the same language. If fact, Wyatt’s most recent message shows him driving a spike into wood. What if that wood were a coffin, the very symbol of The Deadman? If it were true, the mind games that would occur between the two forces of nature would only be outdone by the epic collision that would surely follow on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

For that matter, why not Sting? Now that the painted competitor has opted to interfere in WWE concerns, could Wyatt be calling out The Vigilante himself, even as The Franchise of WCW prepares to come face-to-face with the WWE COO at WrestleMania?

Then again, it is also very possible that his mysterious words signal the coming of a whole new figure altogether, some new threat which only the darkness employed by Wyatt would be able to foresee.

The only thing for sure is that Wyatt’s words do mean something. Wyatt has always backed up his mysterious talk with definitive action. And now that he has given his unknown adversary an ultimatum to find The Eater of Worlds or he would find him, a true reckoning must be at hand. The only question is … with whom?
