Two Things: NXT stars we want on Main Roster

Today on Two Things we look at two NXT Stars we believe deserve to be brought up to the main roster. We have scanned the whole of NXT and these are the two we believe deserve that shot.

Adrian Neville

You don’t receive a nickname like “The Man Who Gravity Forgot” by being ordinary. And British-born athlete Adrian Neville is anything but ordinary.

Neville has devoted his life to learning wrestling disciplines across the globe, earning numerous accolades and molding himself into an explosive and versatile competitor. While not the biggest challenger to set foot in the ring, Neville’s strength doesn’t lie in his size, but in his world class technique and spectacular agility.

With a huge victory at NXT ArRIVAL live on WWE Network, Neville ended Bo Dallas' 260-day reign as NXT Champion to become the brand's fourth titleholder! He then kept that momentum going with another huge victory at NXT Takeover in May, where he held onto the NXT Championship in a highly contested matchup against Tyson Kidd. Neville followed that up with a landmark victory against the iconic Rob Van Dam, and multiple successful title defenses against Kidd.

Neville’s reign came to a halt Dec. 11 at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution. Facing friend Sami Zayn in the championship main event, Neville tried everything possible to hold onto the title, including pulling the referee in the way of Zayn’s Helluva Kick and using a the championship as a weapon. In the end, Zayn prevailed, and following the loss, Neville embraced Zayn, congratulating his longtime ally on his milestone victory.

Neville began to fight his way back into the title scene on the Jan. 28 edition of NXT, when he defeated Tyson Kidd to advance in a tournament to determine the NXT Championship No. 1 contender.

With toughness and unmatched athleticism to spare, The Man Who Gravity Forgot will take your breath away!

Charlotte

She may not fly jets or ride limousines, but Charlotte — daughter of 16-time World Champion Ric Flair — may be destined for greatness. A latecomer to the industry her father helped revolutionize, Charlotte has kickstarted her entrance into her father’s profession and made a name for herself in NXT in very short order.

Displaying a level of athleticism that few divas in history can match, Charlotte has captured the attention of the NXT Universe in short order. With her father watching on, Charlotte defeated Natalya at NXT Takeover to win an eight-Diva tournament and become the new NXT Women's Champion! Charlotte continued that momentum several weeks later when she retained her Women's Championship against former BFF Summer Rae in a great back and forth contest.

The self-proclaimed “genetically superior athlete” turned back the challenge of another former BFF, Sasha Banks, at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution. In a stunning, back-and-forth contest, Charlotte pinned The Boss after executing a top-rope version of Natural Selection.

On the Jan. 21 edition of NXT, however, Charlotte found out she has even more contenders to deal with. After her bout against Banks was broken up by an interfering Becky Lynch, Bayley ran in to even the score and assist Charlotte. NXT’s most huggable Diva, visibly eying the Women’s Championship, then shocked Charlotte with a Belly-to-Bayley suplex, setting the stage for a Fatal 4-Way title match at NXT TakeOver on Feb. 11.

What the future holds for Charlotte is anyone’s guess, but if history is any indicator, it will include nothing but the highest accolades and respect. The world will know her name soon enough.
